Where does Marcus Newby end up in that regard then? Do they utilize him at LB or does he get moved down more permanently to DE?

That kid is going to be a STUD at WLB. They move him and his 6-1 220 frame to permanent DE - it would be a serious mistake. I wouldn't mind seeing him there on 3rd and long passing downs, but his future is at LB.

I am really curious what tricks the staff has up their sleeve for this weekend and what they will highlight for the kids. This is their first big weekend of recruiting, and every staff sees value in different areas. I assume the basketball game will be one thing, but what kind of things will they do to highlight our football program? Can't wait to see the tweets...

I personally think our 4 man line will be one of the best in the conference so I wouldn't want them to do that unless it's passing downs.

Correct, we don't have enough scholarships to offer this year for a top rated class. Of course, we've known that about this class for years, so nothing new about that.

Well your consistent....and FWIW I think you are the only one I know or have read/heard that thinks that....if anything we are going to have to turn a few kids away....we have 5 slots left....in a SMALL CLASS.....should not be an issue filling those....

This is from the same guy who has repeatedly posted that we were going to have a large class and we have to keep reminding him we are not.....

We will have no problem filling this class....16+3....so actually all we need is 2 more commits to reach our max of 85 and the other 3 over signs will be based on expected attrition....

So just so we are all straight on this the class is 16....with 3 over signs to get us to 19....

So yeah no surprise....anyone who has been paying attention already knew it.....

With the way the recruiting services have their rankings set up a class this size has little to no chance being Top 20 UNLESS you look at average star rating of each school....which as I recall puts us at 24 right now....
