I feel for Martinez. He hasn't been healthy this year. Shoulder injury, ankle injury and of course the turf toe.
A lot of his injuries are due to him not preparing for contact properly or not avoiding unnecessary contact. But I was really excited to see how he progressed for his Senior year, and I think the injuries have put a huge damper on it.
I also think coaches assuring media and fans that TM was 100%, when he obviously wasn't, was a disservice to TM and set him up for more criticism from us (myself included) than he probably deserved. It's not too late for TM to have a good year as our starting QB, but he HAS to be 100% healthy. His game relies primarily on his physical abilities, an injury for him is pretty detrimental to his play. If he isn't 100% healthy, there is no doubt that TA should get the nod IMO.

Yeah, the kid who lit up Washington and K-State as a freshman has not been seen since. Defenses obviously started doing things to contain him, but I'd still argue he's lost a step. Before the ankle injury, he'd pick a lane and it was lights out. It looked like he got shot out of a cannon. I had never seen a faster college QB.

It's been said by everyone close to him that he is as fierce a competitor as you'll ever find. I'd love to see the kid take it to another level. Who wouldn't want a fifth year senior running the show with his level of experience?

Well what is being said .. A person love interest was only good until the first fight and then they turned their back on him like 5 dollar crack ho.
