That's not the point and you know it ... the record may be better but this team is not very good. The teams we've beaten have a combined 6-14 record. Right now best case scenario is a 7-5 record with losses to Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa ... and wins against Purdue, Maryland and Indiana ... none of those 3 assumed wins are for sure things at the moment."It doesnt feel" <<<< We are Nebraska fans. If we stub our toe and play poorly that 7-5 can quickly become 6-6 ... or worse.
If we finish 6-6 are you going to say ... the results say we're 2 games better than last year and celebrate that improvement? A 6-6 even a 7-5 record to me does not hail improvement. It is significantly off of expectations and does not bode well going into next season.
I hope we beat Minnesota and use that to finish the season strong at 8-4 or even 9-3. I am concerned if we lose to Minnesota that 6-6 becomes closer to reality than any of us would like.
