Yes, medical personnel have a narrow focus: on medical things. So, good job, medical personnel.

What administrators do with that information should account for the other things you mention. That’s above the medical personnel’s pay grade. If it was up to doctors and nurses, who actually witness why this is so different than other diseases, we’d have been quarantined longer. But safety is not the only consideration for policy makers.
