Wont be this yearSame thing most Nebraska QBs have been saying pre draft for over 3 decades. Can't wait to see a Nebraska QB get drafted as a QB.
That would be a nice individual accomplishment for a player, but doesn't really mean much to the team.Same thing most Nebraska QBs have been saying pre draft for over 3 decades. Can't wait to see a Nebraska QB get drafted as a QB.

Sure, but we've had plenty of talented quarterbacks that haven't been drafted. Similarly, many quarterbacks are drafted from poor teams. A player getting drafted or not getting drafted doesn't determine his value to his college team.If we have a QB good enough to be drafted wouldn't his talent benefit the team?

Classy post.If it makes TA feel better, I never thought of him as a QB.
I agree that Nebraska's shift to a "pro-style" offense increases the likelihood of a quarterback getting drafted (as a QB). But I still don't think that means that our team will necessarily be better or worse. Alabama's last two quarterbacks (Coker and Sims) weren't drafted, but I bet their fans don't care... their two year record of 26-3, two playoff appearances, and one national championship is probably enough.Right, but it's a little more linear now with a pro style offense. Otherwise I'd agree completely. To your point, there's a lot more improvement to be made beyond QB play for NU to return to contender status.
