Def wins games, that hasn’t changed over timeA crazy good defense gets me more pumped than a point-a-minute offense. A team with lights-out D and a serviceable O will win more games than it loses, for sure…
There is nothing more exciting than an interception or funmble recovery in my book, but realistically, a bunch of games with no offense would be a drag.Let's assume we are equally successful either way (10-2). Which would you prefer to watch?
Don't we all!!I want an offense that chews up the defense and chews up the clock. I want a defense that stops the run, pressures the QB and creates turnovers. I want my special teams to be excellent in every aspect.
I want the opposing team to limp onto the bus after the game and realize that they just played the most physical team they’ll ever play (in college, anyway). I want the opposition to lead the NCAA in X-rays received.
No. Some of us would prefer an NFL-like passing offense that relies on the run only as a means to set up the pass and couldn’t care less if we were more physical than the opposition.Don't we all!!
Still defense for me. I like being able to make all the pre-snap noise I want, and when the D makes a big play, it’s bedlam…Let's assume we are equally successful either way (10-2). Which would you prefer to watch?
I doubt it.No. Some of us would prefer an NFL-like passing offense that relies on the run only as a means to set up the pass and couldn’t care less if we were more physical than the opposition.
10-7 gameLet's assume we are equally successful either way (10-2). Which would you prefer to watch?
Defense. Always.A high powered offense or a shut 'em down defense?
I'd settle for the 09 Huskers.Strong defense little offense? You want to be Iowa?
