That would be an amazing plan. Update the fan experience in the south, get the fans closer to the field and more a part of the action, and improve the overall aesthetics of the stadium. Anyone whose been to pro games knows that's not too high up.New plan after Trev was leaving. What ya think ?? Myself, too high upper deck.
Just use Gooner's south stadium expansion ....
I sat up there for the Miami game. Absolutely amazing view of the action up there. My only complaint, and it's minor, is that you feel slightly removed from the rest of the crowd. Tearing down south stands and building multiple tiers properly you won't have this problem. Also add new plan: East Stadium .... upper stratosphere deck, install tarp. I thought this is more of an update to the stadium and less of an "expansion" and that it was going to drop the over all capacity.I sat up there for the Miami game. Really hope they keep this plan going, the endzones at this stadium are hideous and clearly cheap expansions to add seats. No thought was given to them at all. At least they have the chance to correct one of them.

Just out of curiosity, where did you get these?

And really tall guys RussiaAnd on a clear day, you can see Canada.
The upper deck is I'm sure an effort to keep spectators closer to the field. It also probably helps trap noise better.New plan after Trev was leaving. What ya think ?? Myself, too high upper deck.

Additions and rebuilds are more costly than starting from scratch. NWs new stadium last I'd read was closing in on a billion. Not that large either. The upper deck is I'm sure an effort to keep spectators closer to the field. It also probably helps trap noise better.
I'm all for individual seats, rather than bleachers. Bleacher seating often doesn't give you a good footprint to sit in.
I would be surprised if they just blindly continue with Trev's plan. Doesn't mean they'll scrap the plan, but I wouldn't be surprised if it gets reworked. Price tag is pretty high and plan was going to take a long time. Bare minimum- it will be reviewed by the new AD.
Whorns end zone proposed stadium. $175M cost.I would be surprised if they just blindly continue with Trev's plan. Doesn't mean they'll scrap the plan, but I wouldn't be surprised if it gets reworked. I'm sure destroying our section of stadium is part of the reason for the extra cost. Texas pretty much had high school bleachers in their end zone, whereas we have a major structure. It also seems like our renovation would create more seating, albeit a very similar look to what Texas did.Whorns end zone proposed stadium. $175M cost.
