Historic powerhouse. - Means next to nothing. All of our championships are on VCR tapes.

Strong viable conference. - That kicks our ass incessantly, and we have basically no natural recruiting base at all.

There are coaches out there that will listen. - And then laugh until they have a siezure.

My opinion is if TA retains SF, absent the team winning 10+ games, then TA should be fired as he clearly does not understand that with SF as HC the Huskers will be 500 team at best over time

If this revamped staff made a turn around this year and went 9-3, it would mean then went at least 2-2 against OU, MICH, WISC, and Iowa and beat everyone else. Or, got tripped up by someone else and went 3-1 or 4-0 against those teams. And you think Trev should fire him after that?? That's a sure way to run off every decent coaching prospect.

Frost has dug us to absolute rock bottom. Not many worse teams in P5 football over his tenure.

Good thing about rock bottom is that it makes for a firm foundation. Let’s go get a solid coach and start rebuilding this mess.

Just so I'm being clear so I don't get labeled a "Frost Supporter" or "Fire him now".

I support the Nebraska Cornhuskers! That goes for the players, coaches, graduate assistants, medical trainers, nutrition specialists, chancellor, president, etc.

That DOES NOT mean that i want anyone fired/hired. I have always supported the current coach/regime until those who get paid to make that decision, decide its time for a change.

I like Scott Frost, and hoped/still hope it will work out. I also realize that it's probably not going to happen. If a change would have been made last year, I wouldn't have been upset. Just as I was not upset to bring him back.

Too many people these days want everything to be either for or against with no middle ground. That goes not only for sports, but just about everything anymore. People need to understand there is ALOT of middle ground where we can find agreement and find a viable way forward.

I personally have no issues with Urban Meyer, but can understand why others do have reservations.

Let's all try to be better at not trying to assign definitive positions for those who we disagree with.

The good thing is, Trev has had a long time to figure out who the next coach is he wants. I mean, this has been going on since he got here, so he’s had ample time to look, research and identify his top choices. I’d be surprised if Kleiman, Campbell and Leipold aren’t somewhere on his list of coaches to chat with.

I think what showed up to me is that we can’t or won’t make adjustments. We came out on fire the first half on offense. At halftime, Northwestern made some adjustments and we didn’t counter adjust. The defense acted like they were surprised at what they were facing. That is an indication of what were they practicing for and again no adjustments. Also poor tackling and people being out of position. It is painfully obvious that with all of the changes, things are still the same and it starts up top.

We can compete - Aranda is in play, Fickle is in play, so are many others. Are we prying Saban out of Bama? Of course not, but there are really good coaches not in the SEC or B1G who are in play.

Gruden, Stoops, and Meyer want to NOT be coaching more than they want to be coaching. No point in even throwing their names out there.

Agreed. I probably got ahead on Meyer not wanting to coach. I could see him not wanting his time in the NFL to be his last go-round.
