I hope Busch makes an immediate impact with ST. We're sunk without it.
I still wonder why, if Busch was helping Dawson with schemes & some details last year as N2FL's article mentioned . . . why were there still such glaring defects (like the totally botched punt formation/execution vs Iowa)? If Iowa and other teams were picking up on our tendencies that left huge opportunities for the opponents, then why didn't Busch notice and help rectify that?
Maybe what he was helping with wasn't that in depth. Maybe he tried and others just didn't fix it and Busch couldn't step in and do it personally given the analyst limitations. (but if that was the case then why didn't Frost??). Anyway, I'll take a wait and see approach and hope for the best. GBR!
I blame not having a single, capable, responsible throat to choke for special teams for Frost's entire tenure up to now. Maybe having Busch as that guy makes the difference next year, rather than just being around and helping in some way. It really needs to.That'd be like blaming the graduate assistant instead of the position coach.

Even averaged out, just removing the direct points per game averaged over the season brings those one score losses even more closer.lol, I don't blame you.
I really think Busch will get them on track. He's got a track record with them. Also, I think Brian Buschini will really help. That kids got a future in the NFL. Hopefully Bleekrode translates into the Big Ten. Kickers are so odd. Seems like 90% of their success is between the ears sometimes. Culp's 2021 season after what he did in 2020 is crazy. I think having a guy like Palmer back there should help too.
Don't expect them to look like a Frank Beamer vintage Virginia Tech unit, but at least don't be a liability and cost the team games. Let's start from there, right? At least cancel the other team out and break even in the third phase of the game. That would be a big step from where they've been the last four seasons.
