12', 7", 430lb Center Jordy Tshimanga signs with Nebraska.

I heard on the radio yesterday that Jordy's decision may come down to what school is also willing to take his brother as a package deal.

With the way Coach Miles has struggled to land 1 big man, it seems like a no brainer to take both. Having two athletic post players that are immediately eligible would help greatly. I wouldn't be looking for either to average double figures scoring, but their defensive presence and rebounding would be an upgrade to what we currently have. Both Jordy and Link would score due to dump offs on penetration and rebounds. It would also help the outside guys because defenses would have to pay attention to the post.

Jordy Cancelled the Okla State visit. Now to visit UNLV this week-end instead.

According to Robin Washut, Washut: Following his official visit to UNLV this weekend, Jordy Tshimanga will announce his final decision on Monday at 7 a.m. CT.

At this point I agree with you. If Link plays at all, it would be a bonus. How does one say 'Go Big Red' in Quebecois French?

I must be Crazy - I'm beginning to think Miles will actually sign Jordy! (Just to confirm your suspicions, I'm also getting optimistic that we could sign some of the Lady Huskers that are vacillating!)

Listened to Robin Washut on the radio yesterday. He said that NU offering Link (who has not garnered much interest) a scholarship would be a waste of a spot for two years, so it is highly unlikely that it would happen. BTW, with the coaching change at UNLV, they have 6 open scholarships at this point. Jordy's parents really like the academics NU has as well as the safe feel of Lincoln. Obviously, the playing situation looks good for Jordy. If he doesn't come to NU, Washut said the staff will have to focus on the transfer market big time. We will know Monday morning.

Hope he's N... would like to see Jacobson playing 4 next to Jordy next year! I'm guessing 8 AM is EDT, so 7 AM in Lincoln.

At some point, it has to go your way, doesn't it? Miles and his staff have been recruiting this kid for years and has been going balls out for many months. The kid wants playing time and Nebraska has that in spades, he could literally dictate his own minutes his freshman year and perhaps even start. Not to mention, the Big 10 is one of the best basketball conferences in the nation.

All the stars are aligned, it would especially be hard to choke down if he chose UNLV. Just really, really disappointing. This could be the missing link that puts us over the top. Perhaps may need a year, but he could develop along-side the 2015 freshman class to form a really solid base. Kid has a Derrick Chandler body type with plenty of athleticism.
