Starting with the defensive coordinator. JMO!
The team as a whole in my opinion.

I don't think we have P5 safeties, at least not William's and Neal. You'd have an all-conference guy if you could put A William's brain in Reed's body. We really just need to play Cam Taylor over Jackson. That seems like the most probable future and are now at the point of getting guys reps so they're ready to go next year.
This was the biggest give-away / choke job since Riley's first year against Illinois. Both games were almost impossible to lose at the end, yet we found a way.
In the long run, I agree.....but today? No way! As hard for me to say this but Lamar was the best CB (or 2nd best) out there TODAY. Williams (#24, think it is Williams) and Bootle stank it up big time today. It gets real frustrating that their obviously isn't a coach, at NU the last 15 years to now, that can teach a DB to look back for the ball. Absolutely BS!

I think AM slid late.
You know, I think Jackson outplayed Bootle today by a solid margin. Bootle just hasn't been the same since leaving the Wisconsin game in the first half (he returned in the second half.) I wonder if he is nursing an injury?
I think the argument here is that no matter when he slides, you can not contact the helmet- that is indeed the rule. What I think Lavaman is missing here is that the refs missed the call. That slide play, with so much other crap going on all around and bodies everywhere, is easier to miss than the qb dropping back in the end zone and a guy whacking him in the helmet, at least in my opinion anyway. I’m not defending the officiating but that isn’t the reason Nebraska lost today. It rarely EVER is.
It's really a testament to Bob Devaney, Osborne and their assistants that Nebraska football ever became relevant on a national scale in the first place. Nebraska doesn't have built in recruiting advantages like schools in Florida, California or Texas. Nebraska would hardly be the first CFB national power to lose that status and not be able to ever regain it.
I'd agree. I hate to hang this game on the officiating. One of the PI calls was weak, but other than that, most were bang-bang and didn't go in our favor.
Defense needs to cinch it up tighter, and OL needs to blow people off the ball.
Problem is, our OL and DL are below average. And there's nothing but time that can fix that.

It’s called disciplineNot sure how that is related to this... I would bet that even the 1995 Nebraska o-line was called for holding every once in a while.
