Been traveling and out of pocket.
Checked the scores each day. All in all, I am pretty pleased with the effort (talking about both games combined). Hated to see the big first half and the poor second half offensively in the Illinois game. That is a pattern that is all too familiar. Granted, when you have double digit leads at halftime, you are not always going to hold out and win (especially against really good teams) but . . . losing by double digits and scoring just 22 points keeps happening and is a trend that Hoiberg needs to look at.
But that said, on to the dance. Love to see this team secure that first NCAA tournament win and have a chance to play for the Sweet 16!

I am not sure where you get the 22 number from? Nebraska scored 36 in the second half.
Shannon is a scorer but he usually isn’t that deadly from 3. He scores closer to his average they win. They missed Wilcher he is a nice sized guy that could have played on Shannon some.
You never know Wilcher is due to go off in a game.
Yeah, not sure where I got it either now that you bring it up. Like I stated, I have been travelling and checking out the scores on my phone. Must have misread something.
Wilcher definitely was missed, no question. Add the foul trouble on top of that and it was a short bench and Illinois took advantage.
I'm guessing you got 22 from leading by 11 at half, to losing by 11
