Everybody in the free world goes by standings on who the better team is because they are in first. It can change as the season goes on and if/after they play. Just because you lose to a team does not make them better than you if you are in first place which we are so only logical choice is Nebraska is better as of April 23, 2013 as we are ahead of them in standings. We got the job done so far and they have not. Funny but the websites projecting the field of 64 has Minnesota as best team in big 10 as they are leading league by win %, weird how that works being in first being called the best team in conference. Indiana is the best team by overall RPI but nothing else.By your method, after one game last football season, Indiana was better than Michigan and Purdue far outpaced Penn State.
The fact that Indiana has already "clinched" a post-season spot makes them the league favorite.
