I wondered the exact same thing when he verballed. I think he verballed as a freshman so maybe they got assurance from Mizzou he'd have a spot even with injury? Maybe they thought it would grab attention around the SEC and generate more interest. I heard he wants LSU, but that's 3rd party info.

Per capita Nebraska is an unreal high school baseball state.

Whoever the new coach is, they need to be able to ink the Logan Foster, Cole Stobbe, Max Andersen type kids. Or at least figure out a way to not lose all the top guys due to B1G rules. Erstad really struggled in that area. And while he had things working against him that A&M and Arkansas didn’t, you can’t just throw up the white flag like I think he did.
 
Flipped Anglim from Wichita State to Nebraska for 2020 class.

I really like Max Anderson and the KState kids, would be pretty cool if we could flip Ruhl or Frahm from the Wildcats. Long shot for Anderson probably.
