If I can be honest, I think this is getting overblown by Daishon. Michigan wanted him. The coach probably did say something like "being good at football is giving you a chance to do something you otherwise wouldn't be able to do". I really don't think the coach was saying "just by talking to you, you're pretty dumb". And I know no one is saying that is what was said. But the coach basically had Daishons grades and ACT score and probably said "look, if you're a regular student, we couldn't get you in. But I'm glad you're sweet at football because it's not even an issue."
Now, the verbiage used or the tone is pretty important here, but all I'm saying is one side of the story really sucks for a particular school here. I'm not saying Daishon is lying, or that the coach didn't do this. But quite honestly, Clinkscales could have went this route last year with us. We basically told him he couldn't get in school at Nebraska. Now, he also lied about passing a class he didn't. But the point remains that I think it's best both parties move on from this crap storm.
This is reasonably stated, ***..... Daishon and dad should start distancing themselves from it.....and Michigan would be smart to ignore it.
