Article in the LJS on Ameer Abdullah and his impression of the visit this weekend look slike it went really well....even better news is that USC, who was the other visit he was looking at taking, just landed a Stanford decomit Amir Carlisle....a 4 Star ranked running back....Ameer said Nebraska was #1 on his list after the visit...expects to commit this week.....

Really looking like we get a commit here in my opinion....:)

Scout.com ranks him 57th among running backs nationally and Rivals.com ranks him ninth among all-purpose backs.

Abdullah seemed to leave Nebraska with a favorable impression. The running back said he enjoyed his visits with Bo Pelini and running backs coach Tim Beck.

Was admiring his cut-backs and seemingly endless juke-step, avoiding tackles and breaking them. Some nice catches as well. Was also curious which of the receivers on his team was the fella that came with him this weekend too :)

His running style actually reminds me of Burkhead a little bit.

Did anyone else notice that he said he talked to Pelini and Beck, but not Watson? My guess is that Wats was probably on the road recruiting, but I still thought this was interesting. If you're trying to lure one of the top RB's left on the board, wouldn't it be logical to have the OC talk to him about the offensive direction instead of the defensive-oriented HC?

He's use to wearing a red uniform already! Whoever that was blocking down field for him on the 2nd play looked faster than he is - I sure hope it's the receiver we flew in with him..

Another nice full article here on the visit....looks like USC being on probation is a huge consideration in not choosing them as his school.....

Taking away scholarships as a penalty (especially a significant number) is huge. I don't know if people really realize how damaging it is to a program two-three years down the line. SC suffered this year more from bad play than scholly issues, but the next couple years will be telling. Good programs should benefit from following the rules. Let's take advantage of that!!!
Any other programs in trouble???

Dude seems really quick and has great vision and instincts. Wonder if he would be used as a slot receiver? Also wondering about his teammate #19 a WR. This guy was blazing fast!!

Anyway, hope he is N.

(wonder if Bo liked his end zone summersalt:Biggrin:)

Fixed it for ya Red Reign.

Looked good receiving coming out of the backfield. Also he is already used to wearing red and white.
