Up Next for the Huskers

After splitting a two-game midweek series at Arkansas, the Nebraska baseball team (16-13, 1-2 Big Ten) returns to Hawks Field on Friday night for its Big Ten home opener against the Ohio State Buckeyes (18-10, 2-4 Big Ten). First pitch on Friday is set for 6:35 p.m. and it will be the first game of a three-game series, with game two set for 2:05 p.m. on Saturday on NET while Sunday’s finale is schedule for 1:05 p.m.

The Huskers are 8-4 at home on the season following a 2-1 series loss to UNLV last weekend. The Buckeyes are 4-5 in true road games and will be playing their first road game since March 11 when they lost 4-3 at Oregon State, as the Buckeyes just wrapped up a 14-game homestand on Wednesday night with a 7-2 victory over Toledo.
The Huskers and Buckeyes have seen a lot of each other over the past two seasons, playing nine games, including three times at the Big Ten Tournament. Neither team has been able to defend its home field, as the Huskers took 2-of-3 in Columbus during the 2012 season, while the Buckeyes took the series 2-1 last season in Lincoln.

I'll be doing my part at the game--freezing as usual this year. Supposed to be in the 30s again by the end of the game, with a brisk north wind. Might have a nip just before first pitch to warm the heart and give me the requisite courage.

Sure hope, that is all you'll need. Good luck, you're a trouper! :) When will it be nice????????????? Stay warm, my friend.

Shame they cannot move game time up today. Right now, it's not too bad outside. Snow long gone, temps will reach around 50.
Will be starting to cool quite a bit by and during game time.

Actually may be better tonight than now; the north wind is supposed to decrease significantly. Getting the long johns ready!
