B1G up 6-2 over the ACC by my count after Tuesday's games. That means B1G needs to win only ONE of the final six games slated for Wednesday to retain possession of the challenge trophy.
The conference that wins most of the games for that year takes possession. In case of a tie, the existing trophy holder retains possession. The B1G won outright in 2011, and tied in 2012 & 2013 (with Nebraska winning both their games :bow
.
The series is Lopsided, with the ACC winning 10, to 3 for the B1G, with 2 ties. The ACC has won 86 individual games vs 61 for the B1G. Time for the B1G to start catching up!
Nebraska lost their first game in the series (2011 vs Wake Forest, 55-53) but the B1G won overall 8-4. Nebraska won both their games the next two years (2012 vs Wake Forest 79-63; 2013 vs Miami 60-49), Critical to B1G tying with the ACC and retaining possession of the trophy!
