Alternate Uniforms Released: Going With Blackshirt Theme

Getting a little bored with the black alt uniforms...I liked last years much, much, better. Would like to see the Scarlet and Cream with a scarlet helmet with a cream or white "N" next year.
I'm bored with Adidas.

Black N someone should lose their job.

This jacket, was often seen worn by the 1994 Huskers, including Dr. Tom Osborne. You guys remind me of people who go to a fancy restaurant, and then order cheapest thing on the menu. HAHAHAHA!!!! Black literally compliments every other color in the rainbow. This tri-color combo(never mind those that say black isn't a "color") is off the hook awesome. The N is sweet. HUSKERS BABY!!!!

When I originally posted about the blue hairs in Memorial, I should have thought to include the blue hairs in this forum, too. Some of you guys are having meltdowns like the Dems after Trump won.

1. It's only a uniform
2. The players/alumni seem to love them
3. It's paying homage to the Blackshirts

If you want to keep wearing red, than by all means, please do so. But for at least one game in 2019, the Huskers will march out in black. I can't wait to see The Boneyard and really hope it's a night game.

By now, it's no secret that I absolutely love the black look with our red and white. I think these alts ROCK. GBR!!!

Why would they include them in the uniform if they couldnt wear them?

Because it's just a promotional thing. They do the same thing with recruits when they're here on recruiting trips and they put the uniform on to take pictures. It sure looks cool but the NCAA has a rule against them being in games for safety reasons.

Clear visor in pics below..

I like these alternates. Of course I always prefer the regular jerseys, but these are a pretty fun nod to the Blackshirts.

The more I see them, the more I like them. That Blackshirts logo is total bad ummm rear. I’m imagining someone wearing that jersey, throwing the bones after taking Justin Fields head off. Boom!

Very nice sideline jacket but if I am correct that is not a helmet that is a jacket, screw with clothes all you want, leave the helmet alone. But like I said in another post, if the kids like them so be it, and I will go to Huskerhounds and purchase a replica helmet, but I don't have to like it. ;)

Not sure if serious? If serious, it's probably Scott Frost who made the final call on these. At the very least, he had substantial input.

Seriousish, I will repeat, if the kids are for it who am I to say anything, but if he goes anything less than six and six that is two nails in the coffin, record and black N, he will be on thin ice with me. ;)

The interesting thing is that it appears to be "crossing the beams" a bit. Blackshirts, as we all know, is a defensive tradition. So does this mean that the offensive guys are now Blackshirts too? They'll be wearing the same uniforms.

Curious to hear how Peter, Wistrom and the other Blackshirt alums react to the idea of those "sissies" wearing the Skull and Bones.

If I were establishing brand guidelines for the University and Adidas, I'd make it clear that you can use the color black as much as you want to for the entire team, but any references to "Blackshirts" is restricted to defensive players only (no specialists).

If you want to give the offensive players a mascot, or moniker, you gotta use something else.
