A little plug for Alex as his breakout season continues, he had a HR (19th) and 4 hits last night against the Tigers to raise his avg to .305

Kansas City's team batting average is third in the majors -- very impressive. They have a ton of good, young bats -- and Alex is leading the way (finally) this season. It's really a fun team to watch -- and if they ever get a couple more quality starting arms, look out. Chen is probably their best starter right now -- but ideally shouldn't be more than a #2 or #3. Hochevar is still very inconsistent but has some decent stuff -- doubt he'll ever be the ace they were hoping for. Danny Duffy has been taking his lumps as a rookie this season; next season will tell quite a bit.

The Royals have more future potential than they've had in many years now. Alex is living up to his potential. Am anxious to see if the team as a whole will folllow next season.

The bats look good and because of youth should only get better. Now the young arms have to show up as well. There is a sliver of hope in KC but the timing will have to be perfect for it to result in a championship or anything close to that.

Agree, the potential is there for the Royals to make some noise in the Central in the future. They started this season off with some pop and swagger but unfortunately for Royals fans they couldn't maintain the pace.

The Royals are loaded with potential. They played the White Sox a couple of weeks ago. In one of the games I was watching the Royals Pitcher, catcher, first baseman, second baseman and thirdbaseman all started the season at Omaha. they are truly blessed with young talent.
