I believe it is which does give me some assurances butTv viewership alone should be enough to keep us in the B1G. From the numbers I've seen we are top 20-25 nationally with a losing team, ahead of newcomer UCLA, current members like NW, Indiana, Rutgers, and rumored targets like Stanford, Oregon, Duke, etc.
If expansion really is about the money, we aren't going anywhere.
1) Maryland and Rutgers joined in 2014
2) Huskers in 2011
3) Penn State in 1990 (that's 32 years of B1G membership)
-----
4) Next is Michigan State - 1950 (72 years)
After that is Michigan 1917 (105 years).
All 6 other West division schools date back to the 1890's
We belong to a conference where members see themselves more in common with the Ivy League conference than the SEC conference. There is a level of arrogance and condescension. We are viewed as a bunch of hillbillies from Hooterville.
