And maybe his tweet is spot on.Maybe he just knows he can get under our skin with tweets like his usual. He's kinda filled the void left by Woody Paige.

How Six Teams Went From Ranked to Losing Records
Michigan State, Nebraska, Stanford and three other teams started the season ranked. Now they could all miss out on bowl eligibility.www.si.com
OK, so maybe he was right about us not deserving to be ranked. But what El Paso's me off is when he spouts stuff like this:
Pat Fitzgerald has stubbornly stood by offensive coordinator Mick McCall, but that stance is no longer tenable.
So, 90% of your starting offense is out for the season with injuries, and it's time to can your OC, 9 games after winning your conference division?

I honestly think we will be ranked by the end of the year....but I am an optimist and think the schedule and bye weeks shakes out well for progression.
20/20 hindsight huh?
Yup.20/20 hindsight huh?
"Northwestern faithful"?I don't think the 9-win season had a lot to do with the OC. The offenses have been mediocre to bad for many years with McCall as OC. He's been there 10 years. And this year, it is statistically the very worst in FBS. I completely support cutting him loose. And there's a lot of support among the Northwestern faithful for this. It's not just a Pat Forde thing. Now, I'm not sure if 90% of the offense is hurt currently -- but I do know that offense has sucked all season. And it was 108th ranked last season.
Exactly. And from people who don't know their Austin from a hole in the ground. That’s similar to what we’re hearing about certain parts of the Nebraska staff.

I realize they haven't been great on offense. Lost their QB from last year to graduation, then brought in a transfer from Clemson who looked like he might do.great things. Then he gets hurt. RBs have been dropping like flies. Lost WRs. Last week converted a WR to RB who had a great game -- now he's out for the year.
If Fitzy wants to keep his OC, who is Forde (or any fan) to say otherwise?
