Wandale

You misspoke and I went out of my way to allow corrections. But you doubled down and now you're backpedaling. Worse, you're trying to rewrite reality. All was fine until you started getting offensive.

The bolded part is pure delusion.
What is wrong with you? Like, seriously?

Reality for you and all to see:
  • B. Sanders 40 Pro Day Time (Handheld) - 4.37
  • Wandale 40 Time (Handheld) - 4.22 (even it was a 4.4, it would still be comparable)
  • Rat says Wandale doesnt have elite speed like B. Sanders (face palm) - And the actual point of the conversation.
  • Rat claims I'm quoting D. Sanders time instead of B. Sanders. Proven incorrect
  • Rat says D. Sanders 40 Time at the Combine was 4.21, and claims others don't know their facts. Rat gets his facts from Bleacher Report.
  • Actual 40 Time for D. Sanders - 4.27 (best of 4 readings)
What alternative universe do you live in? There is no rewriting of history here. My only mistake, which I apologized for, was using the term combine instead of pro day.

The fact you can't admit you're wrong is very telling. And you were a coach???
Let's just move on as the facts are laid out for all to see.

Ouch. Rat just got taken to the woodshed!

Can't wait to see how he spins this one.

Wandale is a very talented player, no doubt. Making comparisons to probably the greatest running back in the history of the NFL when he has played half a season of college football in his freshman year? Premature at best. Let him gain more rushing yards than Ameer Abdullah before making comparisons to NFL legends.
Let me say this ONCE MORE!! I said he reminded me of Barry Sanders in his elusiveness which is hardly comparing him to what Sanders ultimately became. That's a single facet of what Sanders was as a complete RB in college and the NFL. Not SAYING he's the next Barry Sanders only that I believe Robinson is a UNIQUE talent and hopefully will mature into a tremendous player here at Nebraska. I also said TIME will tell what happens with Robinson because he's young and will be coached up. We have however answered the question that WR has the quicksilver speed to be great if other things fall into place.

Well said.
Even though you already said it. ;)

For the high majority of plays the 40 time doesn’t even matter. Barry was quicker and more elusive at the point of attack than what we’ve seen from Wandale. And before a certain grumpy retiree goes ballistic, there is no doubt Wandale is fast and a good player. But look around CFB there are a couple dozen who have the same type of speed. Are you going to compare them all to Barry? C’mon. Get real.
First I'm not fully retired so put that into your limited personal knowledge of me. Second how many times do I need to quote what I said to you BEFORE it sinks into your thick skull? I said his ELUSIVENESS reminds me of Barry Sanders. Good grief where did I say he was going to become the next Barry Sanders? Lets not conflate what I said into what it clearly isn't. That however might be to difficult so I'll simply say, Have a good day.

Sad when a response, an opinion, gets this negativity. Thanks.

Putting Barry Sanders and Wandale in the same sentence and then getting frustrated when people think it is about a comparison. Ugh.

What is frustrating is that last year, it was "Adrian reminds me so much of Mahommes". Now, Wandale reminds someone of Barry Sanders, but let's not compare, just accept the fact that through the keyhole that person looks through, Wandale personally reminds them of that player.

So let's skip the comparison then. Nothing to discuss there. I would remind you that none of the defenses we have faced, with the exception of Ohio State, have been world beaters. How well did Wandale elude that Ohio State defense? 9 rushes for 27 yards.

Darn, still went ballistic. Even with my best efforts. But that’s the nature of the beast I guess. For the record I never intimated that you said Wandale was going to turn into another Barry. I said the comparisons were off-base. Which they are. Reading comprehension is key.

Could have happened walking in the parking lot. More likely to happen with too many touches for a young, slender built player. And the repeated carries between the tackles - insanity. The inside run he had a few weeks ago where the D treated his head like a piñata was ripe for a career ender.

Wow, do you watch football or just post? How many between the tackles runs is too many? By all means, lets only run WR on the outsides, Mills on the inside and see if any B1G coordinators catch on. Afterall, they are a bunch of overpaid, lazy want to be coaches.

That's alright, blackshirt red, these guys like to get personal in the arguments. Nobody is allowed the common decency of a contrary opinion. And when they misspeak it gets turned into insults. Next they'll say nobody can have a discussion with you.

It is pure comedy around here at times. I'm being told I made claims that contradict what is actually here in print. Magical thinking coming forth from some here.

Is Belichick a good coach? How does he use his RBs?
Yes, and as much as possible. Belchick has been able to extend the career of his QB to age 42 using a healthy mixture of ball control and good choices. It is incredible how well the Belchick-Brady run has lasted.

Someone said, and I might be wrong, but that Ronbinson got 11 carries per game. If that is the case then one more than that number right now is too many for him. The kid got put out on a clean tackle. 247sports listed him as:
  • HEIGHT 5-9
  • WEIGHT 175
I'm not so sure someone in the Huskers press guide embellished some height and weight to make him 5-10 at 200 pounds.

In high school he must have played every down. From him huskers.com profile: "As a senior in 2018, Robinson rushed for 1,973 yards and 30 touchdowns while catching 31 passes for 725 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also returned a pair of punts, one interception and one fumble for a touchdown, accounting for 45 touchdowns in 11 games. Robinson also threw a pair of touchdown passes. Defensively, Robinson had 113 tackles, including 12 TFLs and one sack. He also had three interceptions, broke up five passes, forced six fumbles and had one fumble recovery. Robinson was also a threat in the return game, returning five kickoffs for 111 yards and six punts for 170 yards and two touchdowns. "

Code:
Career STATS
2019
REC YDS AVG TD LNG ATT YDS AVG TD LNG FUM LST
27 336 12.4 2 49 49 214 4.4 2 42 0 0

His best stats are his lowest, the fumbles and fumbles lost. The kid holds onto the ball.
