White's coaches and teammates have definitely taken notice of how that offseason work has improved his already impressive shooting ability. Senior point guard Benny Parker said he was initially surprised when White would get into a zone and knock down 3-pointer after 3-pointer in practice, but it's happened so frequently that he now just considers par for the course.
"I think Andrew can bring a lot for us," Parker said. "He's a hard worker, and he knows what it takes to win. He's been in a winning program at KU, so he's bringing that to us here, about working hard, getting extra shots.
USA Today Sports Head coach Tim Miles called White a shooter that NU hasn't seen in some time.

"He's always in the gym. He's just got a tough mindset, and I think he can help us with that, especially in the Big Ten."
Miles said White possesses the “trifecta for shooters.â€
“Every time he gets a good look, you think it’s going in,†Miles said. “Second, he can take a bad pass, catch it and make a shot. Third, he can look like he’s out of rhythm or time, and still make a shot.â€
