Walk-on WR Chance Brewington












What are the chances either Brumfield or Brewington will ever see the field. It seems it always takes 3 or 4 years to "develop" anyone before they are able to make a contribution. Receivers are taught to run straight to the sideline and wait, without blockers for the ball which most of the time is delivered behind them and when they do catch it they are on their own to pick their way down field. I will have to see improved play calling and a running game to believe there will be any chance of winning more than 2 or 3 games. We are constantly told these people are top twenty recruits but the national media sees Nebraska as under talented. The latter seems to be closer to the truth.
 

You have to start wondering if we have too many players on roster. Since Frost took over, the team has seemed disorganized with sloppy play.

150+ players on roster but only about 50 will play in a season. Got to make things harder to organize.

The WR seemed productive and may be a good addition. The DB struggled to get on field for Texas Tech’s defense.
