I like the idea of being equitable, but how is this fair to Minnesota or Indiana, since they failed to make bowl games?
That's like a bum paying your cover charge to get into a club while they stay out on the streets.

But this bum also gets his fair share of the club's profits.
True, those not earning a bowl still share conference bowl revenues.
But how much would we like it if we sold our entire allotment and the other teams in the conference didn't?
It's to early for that type of question
I'm definitely going to check out both teams in the next 2 weeks or so.
Remember each team receives a share of the total revenue minus total costs (divided by 12 teams), for all 10 bowl games in which Big Ten teams are playing this year. Add to that the publicity generated for the teams which helps tv exposure and recruiting, we'll be just fine. Once we are fully vested in the Big Ten, we're going to do much better financially than in the Big 12. You've really have to look at the big picture with the Big Ten. We're too used to looking out for just ourselves, which is how we had to do it in the Big 12. This is a different mindset.
