Nice hire.

I'd love the hire if he can bring back last years DC.

Looking forward to this fall for a couple of reasons now.

What do you think his plans are at QB? And will he be able to throw it around like he did with the Saints? Payton has his work cut out for him. But, it's a good hire for the Broncos.

With what was given up to get Wilson, I don't think he has any choice but to try to refurbish him in 2023. He's not an idea QB for what Payton likes to do, but when he's at his best he's serviceable. He wasn't at his best but for a few series last year.

Payton is a good coach and with the right supporting staff and a good DC (Evero if they can keep him around) they can win next year. Stay healthy and get a least 70% of what Wilson used to be and playoffs aren't out of the question.

They've dumped a ton of high level draft picks to get Wilson and now Payton, so that's an issue he'll have to deal with.

Also got to see Johnny Rodgers playing for San Diego in Mile High.
