Husker seniors Raridon, Jefferson no longer on team

Offensive lineman John Raridon and outside linebacker Pernell Jefferson are no longer listed on the Huskers' online roster.

Good luck to both players. It's a shame that things didn't work out better for Raridon, a 4* legacy who played high school football in Iowa. His recruitment dates all the way back to the Pelini era.

He couldn’t carry the weight required to be on the OL. Hope he gets back to a more healthy 240ish.

How many did we have to lose before August. I believe it was 3. So we are on the way.

I’m sorry things didn’t work out on the field for both guys. I’m happy that Jefferson graduated with his degree in December and that Riordan will stay to complete his.

I'm not sure in either case it is as much - leaving because of the competition coming in versus - leaving because they're physical just not able to get themselves to a point where they can compete. Its more about themselves than it is about others.
