Randy Gregory

Seems as though RG is frustrated with the NFL and the NFLPA over the delay in reinstating him. Maybe he should be frustrated with himself for continually screwing up.
Agreed. But it is ironic that what got him in trouble all those times (weed) is now not an offense that can get you suspended. I am not against weed (but don't smoke it myself) but it was a rule and he kept messing up.

NFL hypocrisy at it's best. Odd that the union doesn't get after this rule.

He knew the rules. No matter how dumb they were, he broke them.and continually
As far as chances, how many should one person get? This is the NFL,how many even get one chance? I personally have very little sympathy for anyone who clearly shows little respect for his teammates and continues to refuse to abide by the rules that his fellow players abide by.Keep the faith.GBR.

Skimmed through the article but from what I read it didnt seem like randy was upset at being kicked out but upset that his request for reinstatement wasnt reviewed timely. Not sure what typical protocol is but if he served his suspension and his team wants to give him another chance, I dont see anything wrong with that. Hope he has overcome his deamons and can have a better life for it.

Once a player applies for reinstatement the NFL has 60 days to make a decision according to the collective bargaining agreement. Gregory is frustrated that the deadline as passed without a decision. I think he is also a little frustrated with the NFLPA also since he doesn’t feel they are helping hold the NFL to the deadline.

I don't have much sympathy for Gregory breaking rules, but if what you're saying is true then the NFL breaking its own rules kind of damages their credibility.

I always thought he was a solid player but not a superstar. He probably would have been reinstated by now if he were a bigger name and a bigger talent.

Looks to me like the NFL isn't following their own rule on a timely basis. I suspect they have a lot on their plate, but legally, Gregory can push this and should have a timely hearing.

IMO, he should be re-instated. The NFL, as usual, is hypocritical and a bit stupid in how they use their rules and even if you don't like weed, it's among the least offensive things NFL players do these days.

I'd love for him to end up with the Raiders. He played for Marinelli before, and while Dallas has the rights to him, he'd fit in well for the Raiders -- dump Key and slot him in as a pass rushing DE specialist who can move around on the defensive front to apply pressure
