Recruiting summary: A 6-foot-5, 285-pound defensive tackle out of Chamberlain High School in Chamberlain, S.D., Hutmacher committed to the Cornhuskers over fellow finalists Wisconsin and Oregon. He holds five reported offers overall. His primary recruiter at Nebraska was running backs coach Ryan Held, while defensive line coach Tony Tuioti also assisted in his recruitment. He is the sixth commitment for the Huskers in the 2020 recruiting cycle.

Recruiting summary: A 6-foot-5, 250-pound defensive end out of Kuemper Catholic High School in Carroll, Iowa, Gunnerson committed to the Cornhuskers over offers from Iowa State, Iowa, Kansas State, Minnesota and South Dakota State. He holds six reported offers overall. His primary recruiter at Nebraska was defensive coordinator Erik Chinander, while outside linebackers coach Jovan Dewitt also assisted in his recruitment. He is the seventh commitment for the Huskers in the 2020 recruiting cycle. As a junior, he tallied 25 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and four sacks.
