Ooops Alabama!

Your logic is off. The base probability of winning a championship depends on the number of teams you're competing against, not the number of players per team. There are 353 Division 1 basketball teams. There are 134 FBS football teams. Ergo, it's more than twice as hard to win championships in basketball than football. The numbers were almost certainly different in Wooden's day, but the general point still holds.
And you think all 353 are competitive, pal?
In Wooden’s day there were maybe 10 top teams. In Saban’s era there were about 15 top teams. So much for your numbers theory.

I'm not following this thread much so my apologies if this has already been mentioned, but probability of winning a championship also depends on how many games played. Wooden's teams played 30 games. Saban's teams played 15 max.
Only thing that matters is post season , pal.
Saban had to get in top 4 Wooden top 64.
Much easier basketball setup for championships.

He gained lasting fame with UCLA by winning 620 games in 27 seasons and 10 NCAA titles during his last 12 seasons, including seven in a row from 1967 to 1973. His UCLA teams also established an NCAA men's basketball record winning streak of 88 games and four perfect 30–0 seasons.
Saban could only dream of doing this

Pal, I’ll only be happy when they change the national championship trophy to the Nick Saban trophy. The greatest coach in the history of sports!!

Has it been 6 months already?

Welcome back, I think…

Remember that when the Saban trophy is presented to the national championship team, pal.

Anyone else find it odd that an Alabama fan would spend the time to troll a Husker fan forum?

Especially in April?
