looks like a really good player, ILB seems pretty deep right now Dedrick Young (sr.) Honas (jr) Mo Barry (jr) Avery Roberts (so) collin miller (so) and then pernell jefferson and Greg Simmons. seems like a funny position to take a transfer at; seems like one of our deepest positions and there is good talent there, i wonder if Dixon would redshirt - he has the year to burn
You can never have too many good players, ——————never.

FYI

Dixon chose Nebraska in large part because of a burgeoning relationship with Frost and the Huskers also have ties to an area friend in Mohammed Barry and his trainer, former Blackshirt Eric Johnson.

“It’s been moving pretty fast,” he said. “I feel like it’s perfect timing and Nebraska is going to be setting something really big up there. They’re going to have a culture change and I think it’s going to be great to be a part of it, if I can be, and go from there.”

FYI

“The coaches were saying a lot of the players Nebraska has up there already are more run stopping linebackers, Big Ten style backers, so they don’t have anybody that can play in space and be able to cover the running backs, slot receivers and at the same time be on the field all four downs. Stay on the field and not have to make those personnel changes.”

Dixon can actually enroll and begin classes as early as Tuesday.

There’s an avenue for immediate eligibility for Dixon as well. The NCAA is hearing from Shea Patterson regarding his status after transferring from Ole Miss to Michigan. If Patterson receives a waiver, Dixon could as well, making him eligible to play in 2018.

Big News in Atlanta's premiere newspaper.....great publicity for the Huskers

Breon Dixon transferring to Nebraska from Ole Miss: Huskers land former 4-star recruit
Dixon was a 4-star recruit in the Class of 2017, per 247sports composite rankings, which had him as the No. 12 inside linebacker prospect in the class. He played in 6 games as a freshman in 2017, making 5 tackles. He announced his intention to leave Ole Miss last month, saying in a since-deleted tweet that he felt “misled” about the program’s impending sanctions.

More great publicity form AJC:

New Nebraska DB Breon Dixon: Scott Frost ‘changing the culture like the Migos’
Dixon is a huge get for head coach Scott Frost and defensive coordinator Erik Chinander, who have some work to do with a unit that ranked 109th in defensive S&P+ in 2018 and allowed 54 or more points in each of its final three games.
If you don’t get the reference already, it’s to the Atlanta rap trio that has not only topped the charts, but did so by embracing their city. Dixon is from Suwanee, Ga., not far from Atlanta.
