Official Unverified Rumor Thread

Lot of threads being started on unverified rumors which eventually has led to them going down in flames

We talked about and came up with an idea that unverified rumors need to be all in one thread so as of today that is what we will be doing

Couple of things

1) No personal information/attacks of players or coaches will be allowed

2) if you come into this thread simply to troll or be disruptive it will at a minimum a thread ban and could result in a vacation

3) Any other threads pushing unverified rumors will be locked

Is there a threshold for unverified rumors? Can we post random Twitter rants like stuff from that Sir Yacht guy? Or could it just be stuff somebody overheard from Matt Rhule at a Runza?

I really, really hope that UTEP hires Scott Frost, but it's a wish, not a rumor.

The latter is preferably although there are a few twitter posts that if they sound half way factual can be used

So to be clear. It’s both positive and negative information that can’t be verified? What about tweets? Example. A person posts “A lot of tweets going out about Howard interested in Nebraska”. Is that thread than locked? Or “a lot of discussion on other sites about Martinez to Kansas State”.

Tweets can be posted

If you start a thread based on a rumor that is unverified it will be locked

Or post it somewhere in a thread the post will be deleted

Suggested relabeling as the broken clock thread … if more than two salacious rumors come to fruition, I would be shocked.
