Yep, I heard he was VERY impressive at their L.A. satellite stop.

Clouse who was at the camp in Santa Monica and he was very impressed with him.....knew nothing about him before the camp and called him a surprise visitor.....Coach Williams I have no doubt knew about him and wanted to see him in action at the camp and it appears an offer may be coming....

Much the same as the respect and trust I have in the DBs Pelini recruited, the QBs Langsdorf recruits - I trust Keith Williams and the WRs he goes after. Williams comes to Nebraska with a PROVEN track record for developing under-the-radar recruits and turning them into NFL players. This past season, EIGHT of his former receivers were on NFL rosters. Considering he was at places like San Jose State, Fresno State and Tulane, that's incredible. He still works with several of his former players from his previous coaching stops who are in the NFL now. Former pupils such as Ryan Grant (Tulane), Davante Adams and Jalen Saunders (Fresno State) and James Jones (San Jose State) still work with Williams in the offseason - as well as guys like Mike Wallace and Kenny Stills - guys who came to him because of his reputation.

Yes, I'm very happy about him being hired!
I think we're about to see awesome WR play at Nebraska.

For the record, I think Fisher did a great job with the WR corps, but Williams is truly a special coach.

I've been surprised that recruiting hasn't heated up at that position, though.

Coaches want to win now. And the year after. And the year after. Etc. Like a good chess player they pursue a long term strategy while they take short term opportunities. They're smart enough to know when a single move offers both.

...speak of the devil.

And, would he spell out the true goal in public, especially given the objections of the SEC/ACC who consider the camps as recruiting tours, which could be considered against the rules?

EXACTLY my point....thank you.

Post after post after post on whether his/our goal was accomplished with the camps?

No one knows.......well....maybe MR knows?
