What does the room look like next year? Does Rhule want to have three TEs coming in next year? I think that depends on Arik Gilbert being in the room beyond this year. Does Chase Androff make some noise? Does he stick around beyond this season?
If both those guys are in the plans for 2024 and possibly beyond, I think Smith is defense bound.
I actually think that's a good plan with him moving forward regardless. If the numbers on him are accurate, he's a really good athlete who could sort of follow the blueprint of a guy like AJ Rollins or Princewill Umanmielen.
