The Huskers look to end the regular season on a high note, bouncing back from an 82-58 loss at No. 25 Michigan on Thursday evening. The Huskers who had just eight players available, trailed 32-28 at halftime, but Michigan took control in the opening minutes of the second half to cruise to the victory. Playing without Cam Mack (suspension), the Huskers committed 22 turnovers which led to 24 Wolverine points. Haanif Cheatham led NU with 19 points, while Dachon Burke Jr. added 16 markers in the loss.

Cheatham, the lone active senior on the Husker roster, is wrapping up his college career with some of his best basketball. Over the last seven contests, he is averaging 16.0 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.9 steals per game. He has a pair of 20-point games in that stretch and has reached double figures six times in that span.

Dachon Burke is averaging 15.3 points per game since Feb. 15. He is shooting 42.9 percent from 3-point range in that stretch and has six straight double-figure efforts.

The 'Skinny' from another site.

The Skinny:
Minnesota has played one of the toughest schedules in Div 1 and has suffered some brutal losses which sees them as one of the best 13 win teams in the country. Their young core of Oturu, Carr, and Kalscheur should be dangerous next year if they all stick around. The Gophers are content to become an outside team if you try and take away Oturu which is probably what Nebraska will do as it's what they always do. Defensively, Minnesota will run you off the 3pt line towards Oturu.

Nebraska is of course without Cam Mack and Dachon Burke so they'll roll with 7 scholarship players. Foul trouble could make things dicey here as while the Huskers typically defend without fouling, Oturu and Carr will generate contact. While it's nice to think that maybe the Huskers can hang in there this Minnesota team is very motivated to come in and punish this Nebraska team even though they're locked into 12th place in the conference regardless.

Prediction: Minnesota 83 - Nebraska 64

Players to watch: Daniel Oturu
Sophomore center Orturu is one of the best in a conference full of dominant post players. Leads the team in scoring and rebounding, averaging a double-double. Is also a dominant shot blocker.

Players to watch: Marcus Carr
The former Pittsburgh Panther has been a steady hand at PG for the Gophers. In addition to leading the team in assists, he's second on the team in scoring in addition to being elite at getting to the line.

Arop Hits a 3 :Mfclap::Mfclap::Mfclap:(1st as a Husker :Salute:)

(But everyone on Minnesota is hitting one

Final Stats:

Somehow I didn't even notice us getting to 75 Points! :Salute: (and w/o Mack or Burke

 )

I was hoping as season wore on, we would get fundamentally better but it got worse! Maybe we need to trade out for a whole new team again. LOL!

Much better from the FT line today...14-17. Shout out to Cheatham for the way he has approached this season. His one year on the team was a great example for the younger players.

Still impressed with how Green bounced back from his earlier troubles. It will be good to have the guys who had to sit this year on the floor next year so that he and others don't force things as much.

Ouedraogo has improved his game this year and should have a solid year next season. As far as the record this year, I could care more about it, but I don't.
