Nebraska and Creighton are meeting for the 50th time in series history on Wednesday, with the Cornhuskers holding a 25-24 advantage that dates back to the 1922-23 season. It is the longest non-conference series on the Huskers’ schedule. The home team has won nine of the last 11 years, while Nebraska looks to snap a five-game losing streak in the series.

SCOUTING CREIGHTON

The Bluejays are 8-0 on the season and ranked 10th in this week's AP Poll following an 82-70 win over Akron on Saturday. The Bluejays have a win over then-No. 9 Wisconsin as well as North Carolina State and Ole Miss.

Creighton comes into the game averaging 90.8 points per game and shooting 54 percent as a team, including 45 percent from 3-point range. The Bluejays have four guys averaging double figures, led by Kansas State transfer Marcus Foster, who averages a team-best 19.4 points per game. Senior Maurice Watson Jr. is the engine of the Bluejay offense, as he averages 12.0 points and is among the national leaders with 9.0 assists per game.

I'm hoping for a good game and limited snow for travel purposes. Also hoping that nobody around me sells out and gives up their tickets to Creighton fans. There is a portion of their fan base that I find insufferable.

I've found that ANY fan of the other team that is actively cheering while my team is getting beat is "insufferable". It's truly annoying...but when you step back most of the time they aren't doing much more than just cheering in the same way I would if my team was winning. Happy people when I'm trying to be cranky really bug the hell out of me. It's even worse when it's in your home stadium/arena. As with ANY fanbase there's the occasional d-bag.

Not sure that's it. I grew up listening to Kansas fans mock us in the Devaney Center every year as they ass-hammered us by 30 points. I'm a Nebraska basketball fan, I've seen it all. Most of us aren't going to get upset over heckling or a basketball loss considering we've lost every way imaginable.

Did not expect to see this term used in this context today. Or any context for that matter.

If we're talking about stuff from the Big 8, can someone please show Morrow some tape of Byron Houston from OSU dominating the league as the shortest center?

I remember that also. Back in the day the Devaney Center would be about half full of Kansas fans. They would be chanting Rock Chalk Jay-Hawk with about 5 minutes left in a game they were winning by 20. Oh well, I have been to FB games in Lawernce when 3/4 the stadium was NU fans.
