A major owner of the YES (Yankee Entertainment and Sports) network is also a 51% owner of the BTN. That owner being NewsCorp.

It sounds possible that the owner will package the YES network with the BTN to viewers in NYC and surrounding areas, which would undoubtedly be a HUGE boost for the BTN.

Correct. Big Ten actually owns 51%, but the point remains.

We are on the verge of a major merger with YES, and if that happens, it will be a giant boost for the BTN.

BTN is already in the basic cable package in Baltimore for both Comcast and Verizon Fios. I don't see how that changes the market, since it's already there...
