Prayers for his family. Met him a few times during his brief stay in Lincoln. Good dude.

He was only 59. Way too young to go.

When I was working one of the kicking camps in Lincoln, I was changing in the coaches lockerroom and had a wonderful visit with him. We talked a little about hobbies and he apparently was a big fisherman.

I also met John Blake while he was our defensive line coach. Got a big hug from him that I will never forget. He was a great person. RIP Coach

Met him at DFW years ago. Had a brief conversation with him. Very outgoing. RIP

He was one hell of a recruiter. I'm not sure if it was always 100% above the board, but that man could recruit with the best of them.

He set the table for Stoops to come in and have immediate success at OU, and I believe he had quite a bit to do with Suh becoming a Husker.

According to Barry Switzer, John Blake had a serious heart condition. Had been dealing with it for some time. Sad for sure. Way to young. Blessings to his loved ones. RIP Coach!
