Now it’s official. The Huskers are OK at corner with a ton of senior talent back and Charles Jackson and Jonathan Rose looking like very good contributors in the future.
–One position where Nebraska isn’t particularly deep at is safety and the Huskers got some help there with the commitment of St. Peter’s Prep (N.J.) safety D.J. Singleton. He committed to Wisconsin out of high school in 2012 but failed to academically qualify. Singleton, a four-star prospect according to Scout, remained committed to the Badgers throughout this season but the departure of Bret Bielema opened things up again. He plans to enroll in January.
It’s not easy to come in and play safety right away in Pelini’s system, but the Huskers are wide open at the position headed into next year.
