Govt Mule-Bourbon Theater 4/16

Mule is at the top of their game. Haynes is a living guitar god.
Man, you ain't kidding. The first time I saw them live, Trucks was the guest artist, and it was crazy fun watching Derek and Warren exchange licks. I've seen them live 3 times now and hope to increase that number.
This guy opened for them, some casino in Reno, and he just kicked it. Donavon later played with both Derek and Warren to end the show. Lots of talent, lots of passion from all these guys.

Warren and Derek are just amazing together, the years in the Allmans have them on mind meld. I saw them early 00’s at Sat in the Park in Sioux City...blew me away. Derek was still really young and was slaying it...looking very effortless/bored.

My last 3 Mule shows were on a beach in Jamaica in January and they were amazing.

The Rococo in Lincoln has been battling about sound with the condo owners upstairs since it opened. They worked out a system where if the decibel level hits a certain limit, the venue has to pay a fine to the condo owners. When Mule played there a while back, they were told about the issue and, in total Warren fashion, pre-paid the fine in cash and said something like "we're going to be loud." The guy I know at the Rococo said they're one of the nicest and humble bands he's encountered.

Warren is amazingly gracious and humble for the badass he is. Seems to be a genuinely wonderful human being.

Wait....so there is a place that is actually called the Bourbon Theatre?

Do tell.....
