I think Kirk Herbsteit's comments are spot on and represent what most of the country is thinking (including husker fans). I'm lukewarm on Herbie sometimes, but he was spot on this time.

That rarely works. Not saying it won’t, but the coach shouldn’t be forced to make changes. If he can’t see things that need changing, or outright won’t change things that need changing, then he probably isn’t the answer anyway. Good coaches are usually all over things that aren’t right.

We do not agree often. I agree here. If you are retaining the coach than it is his call.

Yes that's probably right! Not a single coach on this staff I would consider elite!! That's a big problem
