Got my Nebraska alumni magazine in the mail today ... on the obit page at the back, 'the hot dog man' aka Stephen Potter (1944 - 2019) was identified with a picture. Said that he began in 1963 & serviced fans for 36 years.

I had forgotten about that guy's special delivery that was a part of my Memorial Stadium experience while a student in the 80s. RIP Mr. Potter.

He was my lawyer for a time back about 15 years ago. A very different type of guy.

He also owned some land up in the Sandhills near the Dismal River not far from our ranch. Not sure if he still owned that or not.

I met the Hot Dog Man in Grand Island in the late 70's - he was pretty memorable!

Ice Cream thrower - Willie Grummert. Those bars were hard frozen. Saw him put one through one of the upper windows in the old Colesium - nice round little hole. Good Times.
