Comcast/Xfinity Customer Disservice & BTN removal

Have you tried logging in online to BTN2go? I have Comcast but still can watch BTN through BTN2go online (for the time being). I just checked it again and its still there. Seems odd but it's working. It won't last but hoping it lasts until next Saturday.
Yes, I did and that still works. I think I had posted earlier, but you may have missed it. The issue I saw yesterday is that they only had the Rutgers spring game live, and I streamed that. The other two or three games were extra cost as one has to purchase a BTN Plus subscription. So it may be a Spring Game day decision with me. If I have time to watch real time, I will, if not I will stream the recorded replay at no additional cost. If I watch real time and it costs extra, I will pay. I just suspect that if there are more than one spring games at the same time, BTN will stream the least desirable for free and put the rest on BTN Plus. I felt like Rutgers yesterday was probably the worst of the spring games.

I have been able to watch BTN on my PC (watched the tape of the MN spring game last night), I can put it up on my big screen via an HDMI cable, so I will get it one way or another. Since I have Samsung Smart TV; it also sounds like I may be able to stream it directly to the TV; I will try that route first.

I come from the Socialist Republic of Nebraska where all the power grid is owned by the government; umm I mean the people, because they actually do...

I think the public ownership and provision of a fiber optic network is a good idea...

Just speed tested my Xfinity - when using wireless router 55 mbps; when connected via Ethernet 294 mbps. Confirmed my beliefs about wifi, just don't have the motivation to try to pull cables through the attic, let alone walls.
As to your speed test, 55 mbps should be fine to stream, but it may evidence a Wi-Fi router issue as I can get our full 100 mbps service wired or wireless in our location. I'm a Spectrum customer in Nebraska though.

I cut the cord in June of 2015 and have never looked back. As for services, I have tried sling, PlayStation vue, and Hulu live. Hulu live seems to work the best for me in delivering the sports that I want. News and sports are the only things I watch live. I also have digital antenna. The only hole in my plan is the ability to get ABC because KCAU from Sioux City apparently won’t put a good transmitter up in Northeast Nebraska.

Thanks for the feed back. I am using the Xfinity router which is wireless ac, I do have both 2.4 & 5 ghz bands on the box set up and all my apple devices set up for both. All of my devices are at least wireless n (I think that is all my laptop computer has); generally wireless streaming works fine, but there are initial buffering issues and I have had a few problems streaming Netflix. Not real bad but not seamless, either. I suspect an Ethernet connection would be better (I actually have an Ethernet cable at my best TV, just need to complete the connection). I did test my iPad and iPhone6, too (both are supposed to be wireless ac). I got 30 to 45 Mbps on the iPad (depending on location) and got 20 on the iPhone. I have thought of buying a Linksys router; but the Xfinity box seemed to be adequate. Still we have a lot of devices when the kids & spouses are home, so I wonder if a Linksys router would better handle a large number of devices. I would think Ethernet connections where I can make them would also take some of the stress off of the wifi.

All true and Wi-Fi bandwidth will vary by range but I know in my own case with our previous Spectrum modem the range was poor unless we had our own Wi-Fi. On our current Spectrum modem however the range on both 2.4 and 5 AC is sufficient for our house. I've also recommended and used Wi-Fi extender repeaters in certain cases where people had larger houses or greater distances to go from one end of the house or building to where the device was at.

I talked to an employee who is fairly high up with the company and he said that Comcast looks at tv as a burden and they don't make any money on it. Their selling main income is high speed internet and that is what they are pushing.

All the cable/satellite companies have gone way overboard with what they charge for their TV and internet services. I have DirecTV and it amazes me how they charge for 4k now too, and you need to replace current box to get that. I haven’t done that yet, as I only have 2 TVs with 4K. But it is crazy expensive for TV services.

Maybe the new technology that’s been approved for a low orbital satellite system to carry wireless/satellite internet will be the catalyst to have better speed and access-worldwide. I can see it dominating when it becomes available. It sounds like it’s in the process and will roll out by 2019.

I've done that several times too. It's extra steps but works. BTN is also available through ROKU; mostly have used it for Plus games.

And so today there is complete end of Xfinity/Comcast & BTN.

No longer can watch using BTN2Go; no longer on the xfinity streaming service like last weekend...

Guess I'll have to try ROKU or YouTube TV

So I go to BTN log in screen and they have a link to register interest / complaint to Xfinity / Comcast (looks like still a BTN page). I fill it out and get "server error" as a response. If that is the quality of IT people they have at BTN; the B1G is in a lot of trouble. They are two weeks behind the curve. They needed to have these things up two hours after they knew.

Of course they are blaming Comcast (unilaterally); and Comcast was blaming BTN (used "they" which should imply BTN - of course maybe they were referring to their management - but should have used "we" in that case).
:(

I'm another one screwed by Xfinity. YouTube TV has a 30 day free trial, but I didn't bother signing up since I didn't want to hassle with having to cancel. I will be getting a BTN Plus subscription once the season begins, but at $14.95 a month with no free trial, I didn't want to deal with the monthly charge until the season begins.

Screw Xfinity. I've been waiting for a reason to cut the cord and this is it.

I'm with ya. Moved and the place was already wired for Xfinity-been a DIRECT subscriber for many years. I was pretty happy with Xfinity but this was a very bad business decision and unless they bring it back, I'm gone before the season starts.

I bought BTN Plus today just before the start and then found out the spring game wasn't available to watch with it. $10 wasted (monthly charge).

Anyone have any luck breaking a Comcast/Xfinity contract or similar type service agreement. I haven't even looked at it but I know I have an agreement with them. Denying a Husker fan coverage should be breach of contract in any court of law.
