We've all seen the rankings that include the entire season. Here are some B1G rankings only taking into account B1G games:

Scoring offense: 5
Total offense: 2
Rushing offense: 4
Passing offense: 5
Pass efficiency: 4


Scoring defense: 9
Total defense: 5
Rushing defense: 7
Passing defense: 2
Pass D effeciency: 1
Sacks by: 7

Penalties: 12
Turnovers: 12

Being last in penalties and turnovers, it is downright unbelievable that Nebraska is in first place and 5-1 in conference play.
 
Looking a the schedules, I think it's safe to say that Nebraska has also played the toughest conference schedule.

Yep, I agree. I look at the other team's schedules in BIG and ours was downright brutal. Obviously its the BIG so its not THAT insane, but i would love to know what some of the other top team's records would be with our schedule.

The 5 worst teams in the Big 10. We have played none of them.

We are about to play two of them, so we should all be expecting our rankings to improve drastically.

According to the UCLA broadcast, someone (Jim Mora, I think) looked at 20 years of data and there is apparently no correlation between penalties and W-L.

turnovers, however, are another story I imagine.

Nebraska is one of the few exceptions to the turnover W/L correlation
