Austin Apodaca ...remember this name because in a few years I have a feeling we'll all hear a lot about this young man. He's the first QB recruit for Washington State's new head coach. A tall skinny two star from Colorado who's only other scholarship offer was from North Dakota State.
It'll be fun watching" Mad Man Leach" turn the kid into a passing machine. It will also prove that recruiting stars can get it wrong.
 

What has he done that would make a guy like me want to follow a QB recruit that's wasn't not a Husker target play at a school I can careless about for a coach that I'm not a fan of?

Re-reading my post, I seemed like a real (fill in the blank) with it. sorry about that YUENGLING. The name just seems random to me. Just didn't know why we would want to keep this name in a safe place of our memory. He's in the same category of thousands of other athletes in FBS schools.

I have a hard time remembering my kids name....I'm afraid A. Apodaca is going to be out of luck.

I had the same problem after my twins pushed me to #5. Now their names is Boy and Missy. Which ever one response first gets the directions I was going to give when I called for them. ;)

I am going to follow Wazzu a little this year. I hated the pirate at TTU but after reading his book I hope he does as much damage to the Pac 12 as he did to the Big 8/12/9/11 or what ever they are now.

Does he prove the recruiting stars wrong or that you can take any talent and put it into a system and have it turn out good. Leach has done a great job of taking QBs no one has heard of and making them passing machines. I just can't think of any that when out of Leach's sytem still stood out. As mentioned by joncarl, I will be watching and I hope he can stir things up on the west coast, good luck to Austin.

He's no Mike Nobler.
 



A member has corrected me Austin's other scholarship offer ( according to Rivals) was from North Dakota not North Dakota State.

The Sue? That's a substantial difference in offers. I can tell you NDSUs QB for this year is Derek McGinnis out of Crete, NE.
