:Koolaid2:So 8-4 it is then! :Koolaid2:

Anymore for me preseason polls are click bait. Not to be a Debbie downer but the Huskers have not earned it or shown on the field they are top 25. I would rather be unranked and earn that spot
Pretty good strategy of click bait for a fan base like ours. Either we get pumped about the poll, or discuss how we don't deserve to be ranked. Win win for them and they still get their clicks.

Its not really click bait. It is his analytical analysis of the football team for this up coming year. He had NU at 39 last year if you read the article. He predicted Texas and NU to have 14 wins between them last year. They had 13. It is all based on data.

If NU is even sniffing the top25 at season's end, I will be ecstatic.

A top 25 finish for a team that has gone 4-8, 4-8, and 5-7 the last three years would be incredible. The best part of this time of year is that every fan base has hope.

Having said that, I think I'm going to go "day by day" and game by game. The first game is the Spring game, which I will simply enjoy and not make any assumptions regarding the upcoming season no matter how great our team looks playing against themselves.

I've learned not to make any assumptions about the Huskers going into a season. 25th seems optimistic, but we do have a lot of players coming back on offense. LB is till my biggest concern. I feel decent about every other position.

Can't argue that he analyzed it, but the point of publishing preseason polls is for readers aka clicks and serves no other real purpose. Pre-season polls are really meaningless and to have Nebraska in the top 25 after the last 3 years is ludicrous, especially with next years schedule. I suppose his data told him Joe Burrow would win the Heisman last year too?

Edit: I do get your point though, not really the definition of click bait...

Exactly how I feel. The returning experience on offense suggests they should be pretty good, but who knows. The Blackshirts are an even bigger question mark. Trying to peg where this team will finish in 2020 is a complete shot in the dark.
