This smells to me of Dad telling him you are too good to be a back up after they talked. He changed his mind. No evidence just experience in coaching from youth to highschool. Kid accepts it Dad does not.
That's exactly what I thought. He's always said the right things to everyone - press, coaches, players, friends - and been human about it. You have to be a brilliant sociopath to pull that off if you aren't genuine. Its hard to think of Gebbia as a sociopath. Makes more sense that he was told what was best for him and that the game is a business and to start acting like a grown-up. Boo, grown-ups.This smells to me of Dad telling him you are too good to be a back up after they talked. He changed his mind. No evidence just experience in coaching from youth to highschool. Kid accepts it Dad does not.

It's not too tough to jump to a conclusion such as that. I've been there as a coach and seen it happen. Move forward and win some games. This smells to me of Dad telling him you are too good to be a back up after they talked. He changed his mind. He might want his son to make it in the NFL, but it's not for the paycheck. As a founder of AirBnB, dad has a net worth just south of 4 billion.Dad wants the NFL pay stub.

Edit: I may have the wrong Gebbia. If so, I apologize.
