Yes he did and it was wonderful.
I'm not sure why some think he needs to be a TE. He doesn't have elite speed but his route running and physical tools easily make up for his lack of a 4.4. It reminds me of watching Welker last year and an announcer saying "he may not be the fastest" to which I turned to my friend and said "well he isn't exactly the slowest either". My wild guess would be upper 4.5s-low 4.6, somewhere around Ed McCaffery, Rod Smith and Jerry Rice type speed.
