Basil, I have to admit when I saw some of this kids stats and just his delivery, I wasn't impressed. I'm sure the coaches know what they are doing but i'd be interested in what they saw.
That being said, I was told he threw a no-hitter a couple days ago. That's pretty impressive....
I go back and forth on no-hitters in high school. In high school, you really only need to get through two, maybe three, hitters to have a shot at a no-hitter. He has a good high school curveball, if that was working on a day he could do some damage.
Soft lefties that live on the outside can give right handed heavy teams a lot of problems when the team hasn't seen the soft lefty that lives on the outside corner before.
The kids a good player, no doubt. But I see him to be a DII or JUCO guy. Hope he proves me wrong.
